Callisto 31 for 31
Grab your blanket, light the candles & press play
Grab some snacks, make yourself comfortable & settle in for a very witchy October.
I love October. There’s something about the darker evenings, the changing leaves & that little shift in the air that makes it the perfect time to lean into the spooky side of witchcraft.
So this year, I’ve put together Callisto 31 for 31: a horror movie for every night of October.
But this isn’t just a list of the usual Halloween favourites.
I’ve gone looking for witches, folk magic, old folklore, haunted woods, strange rituals, curses, covens & plenty of things that probably should have been left well alone.
There are some familiar favourites in there, alongside films you may not have discovered yet. Some are properly terrifying. Some are beautifully atmospheric. Some are steeped in folklore & tradition, while others take a rather more imaginative approach to witchcraft.
And of course, not everything on the list is about witches. October needs a little variety after all.
Your October viewing sorted.
I wanted this to be something you could save & come back to throughout the month.
Maybe you’ll watch one film every night.
Maybe you’ll pick a few favourites for particularly dark evenings.
Or perhaps you’ll discover something new that becomes part of your own October traditions.
I’ve put the full 31 for 31 list together as a downloadable PDF, so you can keep it handy throughout the month & tick each one off as you go.
So light the candles, make yourself a cup of something warming, get your favourite blanket & prepare to spend October wandering through the darker corners of folklore, witchcraft & horror.
Download your copy of Callisto 31 for 31 below & let the watching begin.
Happy haunting, magical ones.
Bright blessings, Aimee
